Language level and background
This will be an ongoing project for my third-year honors and AP students. There will be weekly and bi-weekly benchmarks to keep them on track and continuously monitoring the Bundesliga. They will use all three modes of communication, as they engage in discourse with classmates (and maybe German peers), read and listen to interpret authentic materials, and present summaries of the sport and in the end a formal paper about the importance of soccer and the 2006 World Cup to German culture.
